After a 10-year battle with cancer — and just days after burying his son — my father-in-law passed away yesterday. In February, our oldest daughter took this picture of Gramps walking with their son, Miles, his youngest great-grandson.
Clarence Carter was a good man who endured much. He was my Jethro (though I am no Moses). Thankfully, he saw his children’s children’s children. My wife, Valerie (IBSI's COO), is grieving the loss of her brother and her father within a week. I thank you for your prayers for the Carter and Washington families. We pray for you as well.
As our family and our staff mourn the passing of my father-in-law, I recorded a special, combined edition of Truth to Power Live as well as IBSI's Forum on Israel, Africa, & Black America. It addresses both the latest antisemitic rantings of Candace Owens as well as the Palestinian human rights events at the Democratic National Convention in Chicago, this week. You can view the message here.
I am so very sorry for your losses. (And your father-in-law having to bury a son is particularly painful, I think.) May all who knew and loved these two precious souls be comforted.
Kendrick and I send our sincere condolences to you and your family.
