Secretary of State Marco Rubio, we watched your brief remarks in Jerusalem today, and thank you for underscoring the dangers of the Islamic Republic of Iran. However, what was never mentioned was the equally (if not even more) dangerous State of Qatar. While you spoke of the US-Israel relationship, the end of Hamas in Gaza, and peace in the region, Senior Hamas official Osama Hamdan sat in Doha at the Al Jazeera Forum and mocked the US, Israel, and the world, stating:
“We have won, and there is no such thing as [Hamas] not being part of the Palestinian national project. Anyone who tries to replace Israel, we will treat them as Israel. The issues of weapons, leadership, and the resistance’s people are not up for discussion.”
In this battle, it became clear to us that there are neighbors who are key players that can be relied upon and from whom we can benefit: Iran, Turkey, [South] Africa — the resistance team. [Allah?} will restore what has suffered and will complete it. I tell you that we have an opportunity to expand this team and its main tool is its ability to slap Israel whenever it wants and with high efficiency. We proved that on October 7.”
This is to say nothing about the billions Islamist Qatar spends to influence education in the US, from K-12 to college.
Mr. Secretary, as long as Qatar feels the US will continue giving them a pass, the global battle against Islamic extremism — both physical and ideological — will continue. And, judging first by our colleges and universities, the US is currently losing the ideological one.
Lets move our military based from both Qutar and Turkey.
I agree. But I firmly believe Islamic Extremism is redundant. A million fighters and 2 billion people winking at it. 24 years past 9/11 and we are yet to see an uprising of Muslims who have organized an effective movement that denounces violence. It’s not forthcoming and we need the balls to halt immigration. The left will say they are not all bad. Most Germans weren’t bad either, but you don’t let in your enemies. So it has to be across the board. At least for 5-10 years.
If we don’t, we will be headed towards the UK nightmare.
