Excellent piece! Good for this brave new leader of Burkina Faso! May God protect him!

Yes, protect him from all the lying Muslims who spend their time manipulating people to get Sharia Law installed, well everywhere.

Wouldn't THAT be a ghoulish nightmare…

Joe Biden once said "If you're not voting for me, you're not Black".

That mentality is still at large in Western institutions and in Qatar.

After a few minutes of research, below is a bit more information for perspective that this column could have included:

General Michael E. Langley, U.S. Marine Corps, retired August 2025.

He is the first Black four-star general in the history of the U.S. Marine Corps.

The growing connection with Russia was what jumped out at me as being the most concerning.

(From Grok)

Langley stated during U.S. Senate Armed Services Committee testimony on or around April 3, 2025 that Burkina Faso’s junta, under Capt. Ibrahim Traoré (who seized power in a September 2022 coup), was using proceeds from the country’s nationalized gold reserves primarily “to protect the junta regime” rather than adequately addressing the terrorism threat. He described the Sahel (including Burkina Faso) as the “epicenter of terrorism,” with groups linked to al-Qaeda and ISIS thriving, and argued that resources and external partners chosen by the junta were insufficient for broader counterterrorism needs.

He framed the comments as a military assessment in response to questions about security efforts and resource allocation on the continent.

Burkina Faso has faced severe insecurity from jihadist groups since before Traoré’s takeover; data from sources tracking the region indicate violence and civilian deaths have remained high or increased under the junta. Traoré’s government has ... deepened ties with Russia ... restricted media and civil society, and left ECOWAS. Gold is a major export, and the junta has increased state control over the sector.

The article referencing General Langley is linked in this piece, eliminating the need to restate the information in it.

Thank you for the comment I didn't click the hyperlink in the article and would have seriously misjudged Traoré as a result.

The question I have is why does the US lose the information and propaganda (hybrid) wars in Africa again and again? Same in MENA. Whats happening that Americans cant hold their ground intellectually, or in a heartfelt hope, almost anywhere? Why didn't we have Gen Langley's back?

I am entirely opposed to the Russian manipulation of African peoples. I also know that Russia uniquely stood ground against worse immediate Islamist threats, but - I know that hoping Russians in Africa are better than Russians killing Ukranians and hybrid attacking etc., is wishful. But - Prigozhin did turn out to be better didn't he.

Thanks Lisa. Yes, same here (didn't click the embedded link in the article). Despite the reason given of seeking to avoid redundancy, other parts of the article seemingly were re-stated in the text of the article. Not for me to explain.

WRT why the U.S. seems to typically falls short in messaging -

Maybe it's because we've typically had Ivy-educated (indoctrinated) hires at State and USAID?? Just a guess.

OR, who knows if we really are losing the propaganda war, as we don't know who we can or can't trust that is REPORTING how America is perceived.

Regardless, I believe it is antithetical to U.S. interests to have either Russia or China inserting themselves into 3rd world nations, but I believe Islamist influence (be it Turkey or from the Middle East) is THE MOST cancerous and dangerous of all.

Traoré has demonstrated courage in many ways since he took power. I worry for his safety.

Awesome. "The System is Broken: From Hamas to al-Qaeda, the US funds the terrorism that Africa & Israel must fight." This is like taking something out of Francisco Gil-White's Management of Reality hypothesis. Although he writes almost always from the "Jews getting set up for the next Holocaust" perspective. That America is central to all of this mayhem is increasingly becoming clear to naive people like me. Democracy is in the way of the Cabal. Returning to the slave state scenario, which was prevalent before the democratic reforms started spreading throughout Europe in 1848, is the endgame. Just as the Romans manipulated Christianity to crush the Jewish spirit and ethos, Jihadism is now the tool to control thought processes. I'd love to see you being interviewed by Gil-White. Finally, someone speaking from the same handbook. I'll suggest it to him. By the way, America is anything but Israel's ally. They do an incredible job of pretending, but every time an event finishes, Israel is worse off than before. Two examples. The Oslo Peace Accords have only succeeded in bringing PLO/Fatah into Israel's backyard in Sumeria. Israel's vacating of Gaza to enable peace has delivered anything but. There was no wall before Gaza became a snake pit for the terrorists. Great article.

This is very interesting information to learn. I'm glad to see the Trump administration changed course quickly when new information came to light. I'm curious where General Langley is today.
